What Health tests do your Kings and Queens receive?
The health and long-term well-being of our cats is a central priority at Proline Maine Coons. All of our Kings and Queens undergo comprehensive genetic and infectious disease screening.
Our breeding cats are tested for HCM (Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy),
SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), PKD (Polycystic Kidney Disease), PKDef (Pyruvate Kinase Deficiency), FIV and FeLV.
In addition to individual testing, we utilize advanced genetic analysis through Optimal Selection's feline testing program, which screens for 45+ inherited genetic conditions and disorders.
Our Kings and Queens are also examined regularly by our veterinarian, including annual cardiac evaluations and routine health monitoring.
When do kittens get to go home?
Kittens go home around 12-14 weeks of age. This timeline allows for proper physical development, social maturation, and a confident transition into their future homes. Every kitten must meet our standard of readiness and receive veterinary clearance prior to going home. In some cases, a kitten may remain with us a bit longer if we feel additional time will best support their well-being and transition.

Can we visit our kitten or your cattery?
To protect the health, safety, and well-being of our cats and kittens, we do not offer in-person visits. Maintaining a low-traffic home environment helps prevent unnecessary stress and significantly reduces potential exposure to illness.
We understand how exciting the waiting period can be, and we gladly provide photos, videos, and virtual chats so you can remain fully involved and connected with your kitten.​

How do I join your waitlist?
If you've reviewed our website and feel that a Proline Maine Coon may be the right fit for your home, we invite you to fill out our waitlist application. This allows us to learn more about you and what you are hoping for in a companion. ​
You may submit your application here.​
Once your application has been approved, a $500 deposit is required to reserve your place on the waitlist. Deposits are accepted via Venmo and are fully applied towards your kitten's total adoption fee.
